Shipbuilding started for the second corvette in Ukraine MİLGEM Project. İstanbul Shipyard announced that it has started building the ADA class corvette which will be made for the Ukrainian navy.
Shipbuilding started in İstanbul Shipyard for the second corvette in ADA class as part of the Ukraine MİLGEM Project which began when STM signed a contract with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in December 2020.
In the project, a new design was developed further to the design of the ADA class corvette employed by the Turkish Naval Forces Command; basically a corvette design was made and Hetman Ivan Mazepa (F-211), the first ship in the project consisting of a total of 4 corvettes, that is 1+3, was launched with a ceremony organized at RMK Marine Shipyard.
