Royal Wagenborg has added a tugboat with a towing capacity of 80 tons and a length of 32 meters to its fleet in North Holland, built by UZMAR Shipyard.
Royal Wagenborg’s Robert Allan-designed ASD 3280 tugboat, which was purchased by Royal Wagenborg in mid-June last year, was commissioned at Eemshaven Port in the Netherlands. The tugboat, renamed ‘Waterland’, together with its sister vessel ‘Waterlines’, which was purchased from UZMAR last year, is currently the largest tugboat in the Wagenborg Towage fleet of ten tugs with a towing capacity of 80 tons.
‘Waterland’ was built by UZMAR Shipyard in 2020 and delivered to the UZMAR Fleet to serve in Istanbul Ambarlı Port under the name ‘Anka 6’. The 32-meter-long tugboat can serve all types of vessels even in the most challenging weather conditions with its specially designed modern design, high maneuverability and high performance. Thanks to its operational flexibility, the tugboat will be used in port and terminal operations, escort operations, fire fighting and offshore operations.
Wagenborg aims to further strengthen its position in the towage services market in Northwest Europe with ‘Waterland’, the second tugboat purchased from UZMAR Shipyard in the last year.
UZMAR Shipyard, which has exported more than two hundred tugboats and special type marine vessels built in its modern shipyard located in Kocaeli Free Zone, to 25 countries in 6 continents, is among the world’s leading shipyards in its field.
