Tersan Shipyard successfully delivered the fishing boat with the build number NB1098 built for the Norwegian Østerfjord AS company.
Designed by Marinteknikk, Østerfjord has been built as a unique vessel in the field, featuring a combination of brand-new solutions and technologies with respect to propulsion system, power generation, fishing productivity and crew safety and comfort. Being a hybrid vessel comprising of diesel mechanical, diesel electrical and pure electrical propulsion systems, Østerfjord offers high energy efficiency.
The vessel in which an innovative propulsion system is accompanied by two different methods of fishing, namely Danish Seining and Longlining, is one of the few vessels of this type in the world which is built for a purpose.
