Loça Shipyard held the first sheet metal cutting and first welding ceremony for 2 vessels, 30-meter catamaran fire fighting boats, to be built for Kuwait Fire Force together with Al Boom Marine.
The vessels to be built in the type of catamaran will be the length of 30 meters and the width of 9 meters . The twin(sister) MTU 10 V 2000 M86 will be equipped with main engines and will reach a top speed of 25 knots.
The vessels will be equipped with a total of 6 fire monitors, two of which have a propulsion capacity of 1200 m³ per hour and four of which have a propulsion capacity of 600 m³ per hour.
The vessels, which will be built from an aluminum hull, will carry the Kuwaiti Flag and play an important role in KFF operations.
