Mustafa Pepe: ’’Hat-San Shipyard is on track to becoming a global brand with its investments in floating dock projects”
‘’Hat-Tan Shipyard was established in 2006 and currently offers new shipbuilding and vessel repair and maintenance services by means of such facilities as 5 new building slipways, 3 quays that provide a total berthing area of 2000 m, 2 floating docks with lifting capacities of 18.000 t and 25.000 t, all relevant plant equipment and 1200 employees. It is a shipyard located on a total area of 100.000 m2, including a covered part of 25.000 m2, with an approximate annual steel processing capacity of 10.000 t. On top of all, Hat-San Shipyard is on track to becoming a global brand on behalf of our country with its investments and experience in floating dock projects. Currently, the floating docks built by Hat-San Shipyard continue to offer services with success in France, Denmark, Montenegro and Turkish Navy. In that sense, we would like to declare that our floating dock project designed entirely by Hat-San shipyard, remarkable with a lifting capacity of 10.000 t and an ability to operate at (-20°C), for which a contract has been signed on 12 August 2022 at the end of the negotiations with Estonian BLRT Grupp, is expected to become the cornerstone of the long-term cooperation that we wish to establish between Hat-San Shipyard and BLRT Grupp.’’
Following the address of Hat-San Board Member Mustafa Pepe, Turkish Ambassador of Estonia Annely Kolk and the Vice Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Selim Dursun also made speeches on the significance of the day. The ceremony speeches were followed by the first keel welding of NB 22.
