ASELSAN, a leading Turkish defence industry company, has formed a partnership with Dearsan, Özata and Desan Shipyards for a significant project concerning naval platforms. The total value of the project was announced as 210.1 million Euros.
Great Cooperation in the Defence Industry
ASELSAN has entered into a comprehensive agreement with Dearsan, where Aziz Yıldırım, former President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Similarly, Özata, under the leadership of Özdemir Ataseven, and Desan, with Cenk Kaptanoğlu at the helm, have also formalised their commitment to this joint endeavour. ASELSAN has provided the following information in a statement:
‘A contract worth a total of EUR 210.1 million was signed between ASELSAN and the business partnership of Dearsan–Desan-Özata for the supply of Electronic Warfare, Radar, Communication, Navigation, Weapon, Electro-Optic and Underwater Systems for naval platforms.’
Deliveries to be scheduled to take place between 2025 and 2029.
Deliveries under the project are scheduled to be completed between 2025 and 2029. The contract highlights the significance of domestic and national production in the Turkish defence industry and is a critical step in the modernisation of naval platforms.
