Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Directorate General for Maritime announced that of the 18 Turkish-owned vessels waiting at the Russian Ports in the Sea of Azov since February 24, 17 have unberthed.
An official declaration was made regarding the vessels that carry crude sunflower seed oil and other agricultural products and were on hold in the Sea of Azov due to the troubles in foreign trade following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The declaration by the Directorate General of Maritime was as follows, “Of the 18 Turkish-owned vessels that were on hold at the Russian Ports in the Sea of Azov since February 24, 17 have unberthed and one is waiting to be loaded in Temruk”.
It was also stated in the declaration that some vessels are waiting in Kerch due to adverse weather conditions and are scheduled to sail towards destination ports where the weather conditions are favorable.
