UZMAR became the first Turkish shipyard to be granted an ISO 50001 certificate by Lloyd’s Register upon successful demonstration of its conformance with the requirements of energy management program standard.
Having been previously certified for ISO 14001 environmental standard and ISO 9001 quality standard, Uzmar finally received its ISO 50001 certificate as well. This made Uzmar the first Turkish shipyard to be certified by Lloyd’s Register for ISO 50001.
A. Noyan Altuğ, the CEO of UZMAR, said, “In all stages of our work, we have committed ourselves to lean principles and to applying new methods of energy saving.
