Uzmar and the Republic of Turkey Directorate General of Coastal Safety (DGCS) concluded an interim protocol for the delivery of the tugboat, Rescue 13. Durmuş Ünüvar, the Head of Coastal Safety, and Noyan Altuğ, the Chairman of Uzmar, signed the protocol.
165 years of knowledge, know-how and experience of DGCS and high engineering capabilities of Uzmar came together in the tugboat, Rescue 13, which was completed and got ready in a short period of 10 months at the Uzmar Shipyard. The tugboat, Rescue 13, designed to augment the security on the Turkish Straits and ensure the safety of life and property, has the highest marine and manoeuvring performance in its class in the world.
Rescue 13, with its sister Rescue 14, who began testing and practising at Uzmar Shipyard, will assume main tasks to ensure the security of the Turkish Straits by the Directorate General of Coastal Safety.
