Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, announced that they are planning to add another drilling vessel to their fleet.
Minister Dönmez, who was broadcast live on the state television TRT, drew attention to the fact that they included 3 very modern and state-of-the-art drilling vessels in their fleet in 3 years and said:
We are evaluating the question of whether there may be a fourth ship in our fleet. Especially after the discovery here, we made a business plan for preparing the land for production and transport of the gas aboard in 2023. In this context, the work schedule progresses as follows: drilling, completion and preparation for production. Now we are transferring our vessel “Yavuz” here. Therefore, our 3 vessels will be able to start operating more quickly in this region. We are planning to procure the fourth one either by purchasing or leasing. Negotiations have been going on for a long time.”
