Zeetug is drawing greater attention as the world’s first electric and zero-emission tug boat project. The tugboat, being the debut of the project and dubbed Zeetug 30, has been accomplishing successful operations under the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (GİSAŞ) since the beginning of 2020.
The successful performance of Zeetug 30 on its first operation led to three fresh orders for Navtek. Navtek will launch three new zero-emission electric tugboats in 2022.
There has been a sheet cutting ceremony for new orders: two as Zeetug 30 and one as Zeetug 45.
