British Clarkson Research, the certified research and analysis organization on the global shipbuilding and maritime market, declared the number of vessel orders placed worldwide in 2021 as 1,846.
According to the published data, 965 ships, which is 50 percent of the global vessel orders, were ordered to Chinese shipyards.
With the number of 406, which make up 38 percent of the total orders, is South Korea with the highest number of orders after China.
The container vessel orders increased by 10 times compared to last year, which is considered to be a result of the increase in global freight prices.
