The export of ships and yachts in August decreased by about 50 percent compared to the same period of the last year and remained at $ 58 million while it has been informed that the export of ships and yachts increased by 14 percent in the first 8 months of the year.
Cem Seven, Chairman of the Board of the Ship Yacht and Services Exporters’ Association (GYHİB), said: “There naturally may be monthly decreases in the export of ships and yachts. However, in the first 8 months of the year, the exports of the sector increased by 14 percent. We are aiming for a new record at the end of the year”.
Reminding that the sector that has shown the highest success in increasing its exports in Turkey despite the pandemic conditions in 2020 was the ship and yacht sector Cem Seven continued his words as follows: “We have achieved an export rate of over 14 percent of 2020 as of the first 8 months of 2021. Our goal is to complete the entire year with a similar rate of export growth and set a new record by exceeding $ 1.5 billion”.
