The ferries are expected to sail on the Stranda-Liabygda and Eidsdal-Linge lines in which Fjord1 ASA operates, and it was stated that they are scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2023.
The ferries, which was designed by the Norwegian company HAV Design, with a length overall of 84 meters and a mould breath of 16.3 meters, will have a capacity of 248 passengers (including the crew), 80 cars and 6 trucks.
Ferries, which was designed with diesel-electric backup systems to satisfy the evolving ecological consequences of the last century, can operate as full-electric, hybrid and diesel-electric mode. The ferries are engineered for speedy recharge of batteries while passengers get off and on board.
