Technical Specifications
Each of the ferries will be a length overall 84.5 meters and width of 15 meters, with a capacity of 60 vehicles and 250 passengers, including crew, and a battery capacity of 8,000 kWh. This makes them the ferries with the largest battery capacity in Norway. These four battery hybrid ferries are expected to operate on Norway’s Stokkvågen-Lovund and Stokkvågen-Træna routes from 2027, contributing to sustainable ferry services, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions thanks to their advanced battery technology and setting a new standard in Norway’s maritime industry. The vessels will also contribute to operational costs through lower energy consumption, providing sustainable economic advantages in the long term.
