Tersan Shipyard delivered the Reefer Cargo Vessel Oddrun With, build number NB1095, to the Norwegian Egil Ulvan Rederi company. The A+A vessel with a total length of 86m and a width of 20m was built for flexible and combined transport of general cargo, frigorific products and container cargo. The ship has an efficient discharge system which can provide fish feed to the salmon farms along the Norwegian coast. Built to perform many different types of cargo transportation, the ship has also been equipped with a side hatch and conveyor loader. While the vessel can operate in different modes, only by LNG or in hybrid mode using the battery, the batteries it holds can be charged using shaft generators and diesel generators. Oddrun With has been furnished with a regeneration technology which enables storing the reverse energy produced by the crane movements during unloading and directing this transformed energy to the batteries on the vessel. The vessel can charge its batteries during the time it stays at harbor. Also, it is characterized as the first vessel in the world which can cool the cold cargo holds to -27 C either by the built-in cooling system or alternatively by the cold recovery system which is obtained when natural gas goes from liquid to gaseous phase, and which employs such innovative technologies for the transport of frozen products. The authorities have said that the shipbuilding process required extra efforts due to the effects of the pandemic and the complicated features of the technologies used in the vessel, but they are happy to have successfully delivered the projects in spite of all difficulties, thanks to the joint experience and cooperation of the Tersan Team and Egil Ulvan Rederi.
