Sefine Shipyard realized the steel cutting of the vessel, which will be the world’s first green offshore vessel. The shipyard, which signed an agreement with the Norwegian company, Alagas, in December 2023, took the first step for delivery with the steel cutting.
World’s First Green Offshore Vessel
Cecon Contracting and NSK Ship Design designed the vessel for the Norwegian company. It was announced that carbon emissions would be reduced by 70 percent on board, which would be the world’s first green offshore vessel in its category with methanol and batteries.
The vessel of 5,000 dwt will be a length overall of 99.99 meters and a width of 21 meters.
