Two high speed pilot boats built by Sanmar Shipyard have been delivered to Port Qasim Authority operating in Karachi province of Pakistan.
A contract was signed by Sanmar Shipyard and Pakistan Ministry of Maritime in the first quarter of 2021 concerning the building of four ASD towboats and two pilot boats, worth 33.46 million dollars in total. The high speed pilot boats built under the contract have been delivered to Port Qasim Authority (PQA), the operator of the port in the biggest industry city of Pakistan with an annual handling capacity of 89 million tons.
The boats named PB HEER and PB SASSI were specially designed by Endaze Marine Engineering. The boats have an overall length of 20.5 meters, a width of 5.5 meters, a height of 2.92 meters, and have a draft of 1.61 meters.
