The tug built by Sanmar has been added to the P&O Maritime Logistics fleet. The number of tugs built by Sanmar in the P&O fleet has now reached 8.
Bigaçay XIV, based on Robert Allan Ltd.’s RAstar 2900SX design specialised for Sanmar and built by Sanmar, has been renamed P&O GAYNDE by her new owners.
P&O GYNDE has an overall length of 29.4 metres, a width of 13.3 metres and a depth of 5.75 metres, with a towing capacity of 80 tonnes and a speed of 12 knots. Equipped with a crew capacity of 8 and a FiFi1 fire extinguishing system, Sanmar’s Bigaçay series tugs are designed for offshore escort work.
Sanmar and P&O have been working together since 2013, and the delivery of this tug brings the number of Sanmar-built tugs in P&O’s fleet to 8.
