Sanmar, one of Turkey’s leading manufacturers of tugboats, delivered one more tugboat to Seaspan, which renders marine services on the western coast of Canada.
Delivering a tugboat of Bogacay series to Seaspan in the last quarter of 2020, Sanmar successfully sold the company a second tugboat. The second Bogacay-class tugboat that was built in Sanmar Shipyard in Altinova, Yalova in 2016 had been operated in the Sanmar fleet since it was built.
The tugboat, which was named Seaspan Harrier after its sale to Seaspan, sailed 12,500 nautical miles from Turkey to Vancouver with its equipment, like her sister, named Seaspan Raptor, which was sold in 2020.
The sizes of Bogacay class Seaspan Raptor and Seaspan Harrier tugboats, which are sold by Sanmar to Seaspan, are 24,4 m. X 11,25 m. X 5,7 m. The tugboats designed exclusively for Sanmar by renowned marine architect Robert Allan Ltd. are towers that are equipped with twin Z-drive diesel engines of RAmparts 2400 SX design.
