A contract was executed between Med Marine and Karachi Port Qasim Authority (POA) in Pakistan for building of 1 twin-screw tugboat.
The news is that Turkey’s leading tugboat builder Med Marine contracted with Port Qasim Authority in Pakistan for building of a twin-screw tugboat with multipurpose buoy cutting capability, known as buoy tender.
Med Marine shall deliver the twin-screw tugboat with multipurpose buoy cutting capability within 15 months. The towboat with technical specifications not yet disclosed has been reported to have a contract value of 9 million 149 thousand dollars.
The tugboat also known as buoy tender is capable of giving many services including lowering, picking and repairing buoys as well as extracting fuel from the sea by means of a special add-on equipment.
