IDEX International Defense Exhibition and Conference and NAVDEX Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition were held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. HAVELSAN attended both organizations to exhibit a series of solutions, particularly including unmanned systems that make up the “digital union” concept, and surface combat management systems. In the exhibition, the company signed an agreement protocol with International Golden Group (IGG) that operates in the United Arab Emirates, providing for cooperation in various areas.
HAVELSAN, a Turkish defense industry company, is preparing to assume responsibilities in the United Arab Emirates based on its abilities. IDEX International Defense Exhibition and Conference and NAVDEX Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition were held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. HAVELSAN attended both organizations to exhibit a series of solutions, particularly including unmanned systems that make up the “digital union” concept, and surface combat management systems. In the exhibition, the company signed an agreement protocol with International Golden Group (IGG) that operates in the United Arab Emirates, providing for cooperation in various areas. HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar made a statement to a reporter of AA and said that a large number of delegations attended the exhibition and many companies from Türkiye also took their place in the exhibition.
Saying that HAVELSAN started to exhibit its products for the first time this year in cooperation with IGG, Nacar stated that they also signed an agreement of understanding in that sense. Nacar said they had attended NAVDEX in the previous years and they also joined IDEX this year as well as NAVDEX. Nacar made the following comments on the opportunities of cooperation in the countries: “We see that they are very open towards us and there are plenty of business opportunities. We plan to turn our current negotiations into contracts in 2023. We are very hopeful. We signed a protocol of cooperation concerning our simulator products, parachute simulator, fire sector and unmanned systems. The cooperation involves selling these items here and doing the maintenance and integration work here in this location for the big sales, when needed. We signed an agreement covering the products developed by HAVELSAN in general. There are also areas of cooperation regarding the field of Marine Combat Management Systems. We continue with them on project basis.
