Ciner Shipping, a well-established shipping company in Turkey, has ordered 4 Ultramax Bulker vessels from New Dayang Shipyard in China.
Reaching unprecedented levels in global maritime transport, the freight has increased the shipowners’ appetite for ship investment. While some shipowners have increased their purchases of second-hand vessels, some have accelerated their orders for new ones.
Ciner Group has ordered four 63 thousand DWT ultramax dry cargo vessels from China’s New Dayang Shipyard. It has been informed that the total cost of the ships would exceed 100 billion dollars.
Being one of the largest shipping companies in Turkey on the basis of carrying capacity, gross and net tonnage, Ciner Shipping is currently operating a fleet of 24 vessels with a total capacity of 2 million DWT.
