Cemre Shipyard announced the signing of a deal with Scandlines, a Danish ferry company, to build a zero-emission ferry. The ferry will be the world’s largest zero-emission freight ferry when it is completed in 2024.
Scandlines will increase its freight carrying capacity by 23 percent, thanks to the ferryboat that will be the length of 147.4 meters, the width of 25.4 meters, and have a capacity of 66 trucks and 140 passengers.
Trucks can transport lorries on both top and lower decks because to their advanced design. Moreover, the modular structure of the vessel will allow it to carry passenger cars as well.
