The shallow draft ice-breaking vessel, ordered to Atlas Shipyard by the Russian Ark Shipping and Adamant LLC to serve in the Caspian Sea, Polus launched with a ceremony held at the Atlas Shipyard.
Speaking at the launching ceremony of the ferry, Polus, with a length overall 73.3 meters, a mould breath of 16.9 meters and a bollard pull of 70 tons Nikolay Socin, the Chairman of Ark Shipping, expressed their desire to expand the projects undertaken by Atlas Shipyard and added that they planned to build three river-sea cargo vessels with a carrying capacity of 8,000 tons with the Atlas Shipyard.
