Kuzey Star Shipyard completed the first project in the world for transforming a platform support vessel into live fishing vessel.
Offshore support vessel, has a length of 86 meters and a width of 18 meters, named Grıp Marine, built in 2012 and operating as an offshore service vessel in Norway, was converted into a live fish carrier vessel.
255 tons of pipes were laid during the procedure, including galvanized, stainless steel and fish pipes which were assembled using special couplings.
The vessel was furnished with an ozone oxygen system, a RSW system, a RO system and a vacuum chamber system.
Apart from those, two units of movable partitions made of 20 tons of stainless steel were installed.
The vessel, which is supposed to contain up to 200 pieces of electrical cabinets, has also been equipped with eight pieces of 3500 cbm main circulation system pump.
